Duties and Responsibilities:
 

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping and polishing
• Gather and empty trash and take trash out to the dumpsters
• Service, clean, and re-stock the washrooms
• Use of chemicals for cleaning solutions, spills, etc.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify managers concerning the need for repairs to the building
• Inform management regarding ordering supplies or equipment maintenance
• Other job duties as assigned
   

 
Job Qualifications:
 

• 1-2 years of janitorial experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be motivated and willing to take initiative to get the job done
• Must work well unsupervised and trusted with multiple responsibilities
• Follows direction given by supervisors and not opposed to dirty work
• Excellent attendance is essential
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
• Must have CSA approved safety shoes/boots
