Japanese Auto Parts supplier located in Stratford is seeking a Cost Accountant.  This is a permanent full time position.  

Position Summary:

• Perform detailed and complex job functions
• Investigate and recommend ways to improve efficiencies of daily job activities

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the cost planning activities for new products and or new models
• Setting the cost planning target
• Organize the cost reduction activities to minimize the gap between estimated cost and target cost
• Coordinate with sales and purchasing for information exchange in cost planning activities
• Prepare relevant reports or presentations as required

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Excellent time management and problem solving skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Effective written and verbal communicationskiils for internal and external contacts
• Ability to read and analyze technical information
• Effective computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in a automotive setting is beneficial
• Knowledge of advanced algebra to create formulas and perform analysis
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with team members from other departments

Education:
College Diploma or BA in recognized Accounting program is required.
Related working experience is preferred.
