IG’s university/college campus division, Campus Intercept, has an exciting job opportunity coming to the Waterloo, ON area this September with one of our well-known financial clients! We are looking to build a strong Sales Team to visit local college and university campuses to drive awareness and sales of our client’s financial products and services. We are offering competitive hourly pay + commission as well as plenty of work hours! 

ROLE OVERVIEW: 

An ideal Sales Teams for this campus program would consist of individuals who are HIGH-ENERGY, OUTGOING, and DRIVEN and who have a great passion for sales and consumer engagements. Our Sales Teams will consist of 1-2 Sales Team Leads and 3-4 Sales Reps/Agents who will need to have the availability to work during the hours outlined below. 

Our Sales Team will work to achieve daily sales targets and ensure that correct consumer information is communicated and recorded. They will also promote an exciting on-site contest to deliver an engaging experience for all customers/students on campus. Sales Reps/Agents will report directly to the Sales Team Lead on-site, who in turn will report to an assigned IG Account Manager. 

ROLE SPECIFICS: 

ROLE PAY RATES: 
Sales Team Lead: $13 per hour + commission 
Sales Rep: $11 per hour + commission 

ROLE TYPE: Contract, Temporary 
ROLE DURATION: 3-4 weeks (potential for extension) 
TENTATIVE START DATE: September 8th, 2014 (dates still to be confirmed) 

WORK LOCATION: 10x10 space on selected campuses in the Waterloo region (some travel may be required); tentative campus list is as follows (subject to change): 
• Wilfred Laurier University 

WORK HOURS AVAILABLE: up to 20-35 hours per week, depending on role; tentative shift times as follows (there are NO weekend shifts): 

Sales Team Lead (up to 33 hours): 
- Mondays & Fridays: 10 AM – 5 PM 
- Tuesdays, Wednesday & Thursdays: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM 
Sales Reps/Agents (up to 20 hours): 
- Mondays - Fridays: 11 AM – 3 PM 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Assist with on-site set-up and tear-down of sales kiosk/space in given venue 
• Approach all customers/students with confidence to provide an informative sales pitch regarding the brand’s product and service offering(s) 
• Administer on-site sales by collecting customer information and completing all necessary electronic documentations 
• Work towards hitting hourly/daily sales targets while maintaining accurate team reporting 
• Deliver professional energy in all interactions ensuring there is a positive experience with all consumers 
• Manage team performance and breaks (Team Lead only) 

QUALIFICATIONS 

An ideal candidate for this position would meet the following: 
• A college/university student or graduate 
• Prior experience in sales, particularly within a commission-based environment, preferred 
• Former brand ambassador or promotional marketing experience considered an asset 
• Highly confident with strong communication skills 
• Approachable, friendly and engaging with the ability to intercept others without fear or hesitation 
• Self-motivated and constantly driven to reach performance targets 
• Well-organized and responsible, with the ability to record consumer information accurately and in confidence 
• Reliable and hardworking 
• Open to working in both a team setting as well as individually 
• If not fully available on weekdays, availability on weekdays of at least 10-15 hours per week required 
• Full Driver’s License with Access to Vehicle, preferred
