Our Kitchener, ON office has a new opportunity for a Land Development Engineering Project Coordinator. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the coordination of residential and industrial /commercial /institutional development projects varying in scope from initial concept work in support of site selection, through preliminary work in support of planning approvals, detailed design and approvals, tendering, construction administration and final acceptance. Other key duties include:
- Leading the design and approvals of projects, including participating directly in the design, directing staff and coordinating other disciplines, completing/coordinating supporting reports/documentation, preparing submission packages and following-up for approvals, etc;
- Preparing tender and contract documents;
- Supporting our field staff in construction administration, including site meetings, responding to questions from the field, review of change orders and progress payment certificates, etc;
- Liaising with clients, approval agencies, contractors such that client service and relationships are of primary importance.
As the ideal candidate, you possess:
- A P.Eng. designation preferred OR a CET with eligibility for a Limited License in the field of land development, such that you are able to lead, review and are prepared to seal any design;
- 7+ years of experience in the land development industry, preferably in the Waterloo Region area in order that you have some familiarity with various approval agencies, and including increasing responsibility of Project Coordination and toward Project Management;
- A thorough comprehension of land development design, and a sound knowledge of Civil 3D in order to lead Designers who use Civil 3D;
- Experience in tendering and construction protocols and processes and construction administration;
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and team building skills;
- Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and effective time management skills.
