We are currently recruiting for a contract Application Testing Specialist to join our Information Technology team in Kitchener, ON. This is a six month contract position with a potential to extend for an additional six months.
 
The Application Testing Specialist provides support to our development teams by testing new applications and their enhancements, as well as testing and documenting defects reported by either internal or external clients.
 
Tasks may include:
  • Manual testing of application enhancements and defects
  • Regression testing of existing functionality
  • Documentation of defects
  • Create and document detailed test cases for enhancements
  • Write updates to previous test cases to incorporate enhancements
  • Liaise with customers to understand reported defects
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Software Developers and Application Specialist teams
 
  Job Requirements:
  • Strong testing background
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office products
  • Results driven and quality oriented
  • Organized, with a keen focus on meeting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player
