This position is located in Guelph, Ontario and is a 12 month contract.
 
Packaging operators contribute to the McNeil team while operating solid and liquid dosage packaging equipment.  This function also includes line set up and assembly, operating material handling equipment, cleaning and sanitation of all related equipment and work areas.
 
The individual will be required to monitor equipment functions, troubleshoot and correct minor equipment issues, and set up packaging machinery.
 
This role requires compliance with all departmental safety and hygiene policies including GMP compliance, respiratory protection, approved eye protection, approved footwear and use of all required protective equipment.  It also requires commitment to continuous quality improvement involving the identification and implementation of process improvements.
 
Education and Experience

• Previous pharmaceutical packaging experience is an asset.
• Completion of grade 12 or equivalency.
• Ability to be trained in the use of pallet trucks and walking stackers for moving quantities of bulk tablets and raw materials.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential; previous mechanical experience or training would be an asset.

• Computer skills including use of Word, Excel, and SAP are required in this role.
