Aisin Canada is a Japanese auto parts manufacturer located in Stratford, Ontario.  We produce parts for the Toyota Corolla, RAV4 and Lexus in a bright, climate controlled facility.  We are committed to continuous improvement and training our employees so they can reach their full potential.

Position Summary
The general purpose of this position is to supervise quality inspectors and team leaders to ensure compliance with health and safety and other workplace policies. In addition, to ensure expectation of quality standards are met through adherence to work instructions, standard work and following established policies for handling of non-conforming products.
 
Position Responsibilities              
  • Supervision and scheduling of the QC group (Audit Inspectors, Technicians and temporary personnel). Personnel development activities are essential
  • Ensure that the QC group is following ACI safety policies, OHSA and Aisin/ TS/ work Instructions for all activities
  • Monitor job performance of members and provide appropriate feedback
  • Train and verify competency of QC members
  • General administration activities include management of “late, absences, vacations, LOAs, etc”, including control of OT
  • Temporary staff supervision and direction
  • Direct the remediation activities for all product issues in conjunction with the product Quality specialist as appropriate
  • Sound knowledge of customer expectations
  • Other projects as assigned by the Quality Manager
 
Reporting to this position
  • QC audit Inspectors and QC Technicians. May also be responsible for supervising temporary personnel as needed during sorts and/or rework
               
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Supervisory skills & understanding of the Occupational Heath & Safety Act
  • Solid problem solving, troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to be assertive while maintaining a positive and professional approach at all times
  • Working knowledge of TS16949 standards, Level 2 and Level 3 Requirements as well as Customer requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a related quality role
 
Beneficial Skills and Experience
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role
 
Education/Training/Certifications Required
  • College Diploma in Quality Assurance or 3 years related ACI experience.  You will be required to enhance your quality skills by taking relevant quality courses
 
Travel Required
  • May be required from time to time
