GROUP “3” – FULL-TIME 12-MONTH POSITION
Salary range: $53,636 - $ 60,949 (commensurate with experience)

Reporting to the Supervisor of Labour and Employee Relations, the Administrative Assistant, Labour Relations and Superintendent of Human Resources and General Counsel, provides administrative support to the Labour Relations portfolio and the Superintendent in day-to-day operations. This position requires excellent knowledge of Board policies and procedures, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with staff and outside agencies while operating a functional and efficient office. This role also requires good judgment and the ability to protect personal, confidential and privileged information. The hours of work will be determined by the Supervisor in consultation with the successful candidate.
 
Qualifications and Skills required:
  • Post-secondary diploma in Executive Office Administration or related field
  • Advanced secretarial/business training and extensive executive administrative assistant experience, preferably in a Human Resources and/or Labour Law department
  • Advanced word processing and records management skills utilizing MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and Acrobat Reader DC
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to create accurate meeting notes and minutes
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing database systems, Laserfiche and/or Access an asset
  • Excellent relationship, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills
  • A strong commitment to service
  • Demonstrated professional ethic and sensitivity for the confidential nature of the position    
  • Possess an understanding and appreciation of the mission of a Catholic school system.
