Our client is currently looking to fill an immediate permanent position as a Accounting Clerk.
In this role, the employee will be reporting to the Controller; with a strong working relationship with the Credit Department and the Accountant. Job responsibilities within a multi-company, multi-currency environment will include:
Credit & Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post daily deposits to customer accounts (cash, wire, & credit card, receipts)
- EDI - send major customer invoices by EDI
- Reconcile and resolve issues with customer accounts
- Back-up for COD/Visa payments by customers
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Code and post vendor invoices
- Back-up for cheque payment processing
- Other related duties as assigned
Year-End: work with the rest of the department to close several companies efficiently and timely following established routines, and interface with external auditors where required.
Competitive salary: $42,000/year

- 3-5 years of experience with Accounts Receivables and/or Accounts Payables
- Ideally has gained Accounting experience from working for a manufacturing or warehousing company
- Intermediate/strong knowledge of Excel is required (knowledge of VLOOKUP), with a strong technical accounting ability, experience with an AS400 or other MRP system would be considered beneficial
- Above average communication skills are required - this position will interface with many departments throughout the organization, from top to bottom
