Senior Hardware/Software Support Tech

The pay range for this position is $28 to $32 per hour for a 37.5-hour work week.

CashierPRO, based out of Stratford, Ontario, is a leading provider of Point-of-Sale/Inventory Management systems, designed specifically for small-to-mid size Hardware, Home Improvement, Farm Supply and Building Supply retailers across North America.

We currently are looking for a senior Hardware/Software Support Technician to fill a FULL-TIME position from our office in Stratford, Ontario, with the possible consideration to occasionally work from a home-office.

CashierPRO is a small company, where employment roles are multi-faceted.  This role will include providing remote support (across North America) on Hardware, Windows networking, data conversions, as well as requiring you to become proficient at the CashierPRO application to answer most “how to” questions.

Position Qualifications:
  • post secondary education in IT preferred

  • knowledge of IT networking (Windows peer-to-peer) is required

  • any additional Industry Certifications relating to Network Infrastructure is an asset

  • minimum of 5+ years in work-related experience required, specifically in a Hardware/Software Support role

  • strong knowledge of MS/Office 365, and use of HelpDesk Software systems

  • install and maintain computer hardware and software

  • provide excellent customer service to understand and resolve their computing and related issues

  • document client requests and provide timely responses to initial request for assistance

  • ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written format with clients and team members

  • professional and courteous telephone etiquette

  • excellent organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills

  • listening skills with the ability to show empathy

  • an ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure

  • self motivated with an ability to set goals and achieve them

  • self learner with ability to research and apply information and adapt to changes

  • stay current with system information, changes, and updates

  • ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English

  • occasional requirement for work to be done outside of office hours due to retail hours, emergency situations, or to minimize disruptions to clients
