Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join their company on a contract-to-hire basis or permanent basis. This is a construction related company and the candidate must have worked in this industry previously in order to considered for the role.
In this position you would be responsible for:
- Receiving and processing invoices
- Matching packing slips to invoices
- Entering invoice into Quickbooks (this accounting software is preferred)
- Collecting outstanding receivables for all divisions
- Cross-check statements
Advantages:

- Monday-Friday core hours (8:00am-4:30pm)
- Competitive salary - $18.00-$20.00/hour
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of Accounting experience within a construction related company
- Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks
- College or university education in accounting or equivalent work experience
- Previous accounting experience working within in a manufacturing is an asset
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn new concepts and works well in a team environment
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel
- Great communications both verbal and written, excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ability to handle competing deadlines
