Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HRBP’s prime focus will be “People and Culture”.  They will Champion employee engagement, strategic solutions, organizational development while promoting Aspire’s values.

Description
  • A strategic partner to the Human Resources Manager.  Providing research, design, and development on HR initiatives
  • Process Payroll while supporting Supervisors, and employees in understanding the process and requirements
  • Spend time (daily) within the manufacturing facility speaking with employees and monitoring engagement
  • Liaise with the leadership team to provide best practices  
  • Key driver in employee training, Alchemy experience considered an asset
  • Organize, complete, document ongoing training meeting legislative requirements 
  • Recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, filing, and succession planning
  • Comfortable working in a paper free environment
  • Experience with payroll and benefits, disability management, and a strong affiliation to Health and Safety
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ability to protect confidential information
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Drive the performance review process for hourly employees
  • Participate in the Social Committee, year end party planning, and all engagement initiatives
  • Provide support in investigations, interpret, and apply company policies and procedures 
  • Foster positive relationships with external vendors, regulatory bodies, and employees
  • Support ad hoc HR projects and strategic initiatives to enhance performance and engagement
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, forms, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance and participate in internal and external audits (BRC/SQF)
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes and compliance issues
  • You will provide feedback to enhance Aspire”s strategic HR programs, culture and engagement initiatives   

Requirements
  • Current member of the Human Resources Professionals Association 
  • You have 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • You are comfortable working in a paper free environment
  • You possess a deep knowledge of ESA, labour relations, and Health and Safety
  • Attention to detail and a can-do attitude
  • A CHRP/CHRL designation an asset
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • If required, you can work outside of your normal work schedule 
  • You can clearly communicate with all levels within Aspire Foods
  • Excellent organization, time management skills
  • You have a strong attention to detail, clearly communicate both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work within a team with strong interpersonal skills to include leadership and collaborative influence skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Gmail
  • Minimal travel, drivers’ licence is required
  • You can sit/stand for long periods of time, bend, twist
