DIRECTOR OF SALES – CANADA
 
Solis Foods Corporation Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high quality snack inspired foods for both in- home and out-of-home consumption. Solis is an innovator in main meal and snack foods for all channels of distribution.  Our state of the art manufacturing and distribution facilities, located in St. Mary’s, Ontario and Calgary Alberta and Sunrise Warehousing Company 3PL Distribution Facility in Brantford Ontario, service clients with the mission of ‘providing the highest quality products with exceptional service and great value for its customers’.
 
We are searching for a results driven Director of Sales will have full responsibility for the sales of the company’s full line of products with both Foodservice and Retail customers for Canada.
 
Key Responsibilities
  •  Responsible and accountable for sales achievement within the described area of responsibility
  • Managing and mentoring direct reports
  • Prepare and manage of Monthly, Quarterly & Annual reports utilizing KPIs and budgets.
  • Setting objectives, strategic action plans by key accounts in conjunction with direct reports
  • Identify and communicate key threats & opportunities to market share.
  • Develop staff so that customers’ strategic growth plans are optimized.
  • Spearhead quarterly business review meeting initiatives to drive opportunities & minimize short comings.
  • Must have a well developed “hunter mentality” aligned to corporate objectives tied to new account development
  • Ensure that we plan, schedule and participate in key trade shows.
  • Identify opportunities in the market place that will lead to increased share, sales and profit
  • Recommendations of new ideas will be an expectation
  • Assist in achieving realistic forecasts and budgets for the area of responsibility. This would involve understanding the competitive landscapes, new and lost business, impact of commodity pricing on price advances/decreases and strong understanding of CPG marketplace
  • Ensure that regular or Quarterly business reviews are completed with key partners
  • Ability to travel developing new customer and supporting their requirements, with the balance of available time, working with direct reports and corporate stakeholders.
 
Qualifications:
  •  5 -7 years of CPG (consumer Packaged Goods) sales exp.servicing the Food Service marketplace
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management.
  • Computer skills required, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior organizational, presentation and follow-up skills required.
  • Ability to motivate teams to source out business, manage multi-projects and achieve sales targets.
  • Bilingual with preference to French & English.
  • Knowledge of AC Neilson / Retail Link analysis
  • Ability and desire to hunt for new business.
  • Passion for best practices for our organization & customers.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and strong multi tasking skills
  • Available to travel extensively.
  • Must be able to work from Brantford ON office when not travelling.
