Job Description
Inteqna, London Office, is currently looking for a Financial Analyst for our client located in Brantford, ON. This is a 14 month contract position.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support general ledger and financial statements & provide financial decision making by organizing, reconciling, analyzing and summarizing information
- Provide customer service to other departments by organizing, distributing, interpreting and explaining financial information in a way that will be clearly understood and facilitate decision making
- Assist in the completion of month end General Ledger close and financial reporting
- Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Initiate non cheque payments (setting up wire payments and transfer with bank)
- Maintain records of fixed assets, financial reports and forecasts
- Initiate and contribute cost reduction, participate in cost reduction activities
- Maintain commitment to continuous quality improvement (improving customer suppliers focus, implementing and supporting quality standards)
Qualifications:
- University or College degree
- Accounting designation or registered in accounting program (senior level)
- Excellent analytical, time management and decision making skills
- Customer service oriented and understanding of importance of diplomacy and confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills
