Job Description

Under the supervision of the Woodstock Production Manager, the Schedule Planning Technician will mainly support the Continuous Improvement teams, the Production department, the Planning department and the Human Capital department.
 
More specifically, the Schedule Planning Technician:
 
  • Performs daily production resource planning and scheduling;
  • Plays a support role in respect of the Continuous Improvement teams;
  • Performs some administrative activities within the Production department;
  • Reviews projected production forecasts and manpower requirements and adjusts staffing levels accordingly;
  • Supports the Planning department in building systems to support production scheduling;
  • Supports the Human Capital department in ensuring all Production employees receive all of the required training;
  • Participates of the Training Committee (a must) and JHSC (as required);
  • Helps to maintain the requirements for food quality, safety and defense through record verifications, on-site verifications and active participation in audits;
  • Promotes and enhances a positive employee relations atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement;
  • Backups Production Supervisor when required.
  Requirements
  • You have completed a College diploma or University degree in a related field;
  • You cumulate at least two (2) years of experience at a coordinator or supervisor level in an operations environment;
  • Your experience in a Lean manufacturing environment, health and safety assurance, knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP, SQF and GMP will be considered an asset;
  • Computer literate, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel);
  • Strong people and communication skills;
  • Autonomous and Team player.
