Job Description
On behalf of our client in Woodstock, ON, we are currently recruiting for a
Driver Coordinator/Dispatcher on an evaluation hire basis.

Duties (include but not limited to):
- Provide support to the drivers to ensure all orders are expedited and routed correctly
- Participate in and support driver retention initiatives
- Manage outside carriers assigned to the company’s’ routes
- Assist with the development of the required driver skills (customs, Hazmat, hours of service, policies, regulations, satellites, etc.)
- Assist with contingency planning for route coverage
- Keep suppliers updated on scheduled deliveries or known delays
- Issue reports as required
- Issue ARCs for all irregular conditions for routes (late routes, shortages, extra freight, seal changes, etc.)
- Assist with solutions regarding any driver/customer concerns
- Perform check sheet audits required by customer
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 2 year College Diploma
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
- Intermediate level computer skills and proficient keyboarding
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience dealing with FAST approved drivers and JIT freight considered an asset
- Good communications skills both written and verbal
- Creativity and effective problem solving ability
- Thorough understanding of North American geography
- Monday-Friday; 3:00pm-11:30pm
- $40,000 - $42,000 depending upon experience
