Job Description
Aisin Canada is a Japanese auto parts manufacturer located in Stratford, Ontario JIT supplier of parts for the Toyota Corolla, Matrix, RAV4 and Lexus RX350 in a bright, new climate controlled facility. We are committed to continuous improvement and training our employees so they can reach their full potential.
We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor. This is a permanent full time position.
Position Responsibilities
• Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed
• Ensure safe working conditions for all team members
• Following production schedules (and working with P.C. department to change if necessary)
• Administering corrective actions and disciplines to team members
• Team Member evaluations as required
• Ensure production records are accurately recorded (including production numbers, production time, downtime, rework, scrap, etc.)
• Kaizen (continuous improvement) of their lines
• Promotion and participation in the 1P1K activity
• Promotion and participation in MaxK activity
• Standard work audits – leveling up non-compliance
Ensure Production Records are Accurately Recorded
• Complete daily shift reports
• Attend manufacturing monthly meetings to discuss scrap, rework, OA and man hours worked.
• Complete a training matrix for all team members
• Complete problem follow up sheets, and work orders
Maintenance and Support Staff
• General maintenance repair of lines
• Adjust welds and work on weld programs
• Take the lead in major level-up adjustments to all machines
• Support trail activities (model changes)
• Hancho lines when shorthanded (see hancho job description)
• Run production through breaks and lunch when needed
• Training new team members
• Supervise quality and Shipping when needed
• Participate in First Aid certification program
Paperwork
• Overtime planning
• Manpower planning (daily attendance)
• Reconcile team member work hours on Nova-Time
• Schedule vacations and banking of overtime hours
• Coordinate and create production schedules with Shipping
• Administer team member evaluations
• Review core documents, monitor hourly reports, line setup sheets, quality and machine set up sheets
Essential Skills and Experience
Beneficial Skills and Experience - Understanding of TPS (Toyota Production System)
Education/Training/
Diploma from a recognized program in Manufacturing and/or Supervisory studies – Equivalent experience and training will be considered.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Automotive JIT environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety Standards
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to motivate members to achieve company goals
