Job Description

Hoerbiger Finestamping Inc. requires a Millwright in their Waterloo facility for repair and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. This will be accomplished through the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.

 

Some Key responsibilities include:

  • This position requires that the Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment.
  • The Millwright is also responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as motors, pumps, valves, controls, and other machines.
  • Completion of maintenance work on all equipment to achieve maximum safety and productivity
  • Participation in Preventative Maintenance program to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Adheres to ISO, Health and Safety, and all applicable legislation.

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Industrial Millwright License is required for this position
  • A minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of millwright applications, practices, tools and equipment associated with millwright and one or more trades such as electrical, pneumatic hydraulic and others.
  • A strong commitment to safety
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of electrical-PLC programming, motor controls, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, bearings, conveyors, piping systems, welding and fabricating, building and modifying equipment.
  • The ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics and manuals.
  • Experience in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and executing necessary repairs.
