Established in July of 2010, Treehaus Collaborative Worskspace (Treehaus) has quickly become a hotspot in downtown Kitchener, redefining the way the Region works. Born to address the needs of today’s nomad worker and non-profits that wish to work smarter, Treehaus is a veritable breeding ground for creativity and innovation. More than 50 freelancers, small businesses, artists, and non-profits have called Treehaus home over the past 6 years!

The Treehaus is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer board, but sometimes we need a little help. To help us manage operations through the summer, we are looking for a student to work part time from June 6th to August 26th.

This job includes, but is not limited to:
  • Planning, advertising, and running events for members and the community
  • Giving tours to prospective Treehaus members
  • Assisting new members in understanding our model and where they could benefit and contribute
  • Managing our website and social media sites
  • Writing and editing newsletter content
  • Completing invoices and other organizational tasks
Qualifications
Ideally, you Are:
  • Passionate about community collaboration, social innovation and entrepreneurship and able to make connections between groups, businesses and individuals.
  • Familiar with coworking and other shared space models locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Comfortable working in an open, fast-paced and often changing work place.
  • An organizer with an ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • A great communicator with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A natural networker. You are comfortable in many business and social situations and able to find common ground and connections with diverse groups of people and stakeholders.
  • Returning to a post-secondary institution in Fall 2016.
