Master Scheduler QUALIFICATIONS: • Post secondary education or equivalent experience in Production Planning or related field experience. An APICS designation or equivalent would be beneficial. • Two to three years demonstrated hands on experience in production control planning. • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practice, and procedures. • Proficient with various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and ERP Systems. • Must have excellent communication skills and above average analytical and problem solving skills. • Demonstrated organizational skills and be able to work independently with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment. • Must be capable of developing reports by extracting, manipulating and analyzing data from various sources. • Must be capable of understanding bill of materials structures, demand sources and “where used” analysis. • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Performs a variety of tasks. • Leads and directs the work of others. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Create build plans from forecast data, ensuring finish goods levels are controlled. • Create configured forecast models in MRP based on historic usage. • Create production schedules from build plans, ensuring customer priorities and finish goods mix is controlled. • Maintain MRP forecast module with related volume and option mix. • Communicate schedule releases and changes, issue work orders on a timely basis for all production lines and plants. • Process change orders in MRP, ensuring both work order and inventory transaction are accurate. • Create tracking reports for option usage and related customer to model profiles. • Track finish goods levels relative to firm orders and adjust schedules to maintain target inventory. • Work with Sale, Production and Materials group to ensure attainable schedules are released and they meet customer requirements. • Create management reports as required to communicate sales, production and inventory levels. • Perform other tasks/duties as assigned. |
