Fiberglass Chopper Gun / Gelcoat Operator

The primary responsibilities of this position are to prepare molds, mix resins and gelcoats and operate Chopper Gun/Gelcoat Spray Equipment to apply chop/resin combinations or gelcoat to specific thicknesses and tolerances. The work must be completed according to a master scheduling program, meet all Quality Assurance standards, and be performed safely with limited supervision. The position requires the ability to address process problems as they arise, maintain, clean and troubleshoot the equipment, and participate in laminating as required. 

The work is performed at our Goderich location. The usual work pattern is Monday to Friday for a total of forty hours per week. The wage rate for this new position will be competitive and reflect the skills required to successfully perform this work to the high standards we require, as well as the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant. An employer paid premium based benefit plan is provided after four months of employment.
 
Candidates are expected to live in Goderich or the immediate area, or be prepared to relocate within this area during the first four months of employment.
 
Basic Requirements (candidates without these criteria will not be considered)
  • The ability to perform all of the primary responsibilities of this positon, as set out above, prior to hire, and a minimum of two years’ experience
  • Grade 12 graduation or an alternate combination of education and experience acceptable to Complete Wind
  • The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions provided in English

  • A commitment to regular, reliable and timely attendance
 
Preferential consideration will be given to candidates who have
  • A demonstrated ability to complete work according to a master scheduling program
  • A demonstrated ability to meet Quality Assurance standards
  • A demonstrated ability to work to these standards with limited supervision
  • More than two years’ experience performing the primary responsibilities required of the position
