Years of Experience: Entry-Level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan/order/expedite parts within the parameters set within the Excel based MRP.
  • Coordinate outboard/inbound shipments to/from destinations worldwide.
  • Create necessary paperwork for outbound shipments worldwide.
  • Assist with building Excel tools to increase the department efficiency.
  • Audit/approve shipping bills to ensure we are not overcharged, and start disputes with shipping companies when needed.
  • Assist with sourcing new goods/suppliers domestically and overseas.
  • Assist in team negotiations with current & new suppliers.
  • Assist with cycle counts and corrective action.
  • Assisting with incoming inspection/receiving.
  • Create standard reports as needed.
  • Other task as required

Key Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in the “Business Administrative – Supply Chain and Operations Management” program (Preferably 2nd year co-op student, as this will probably turn into an 8 month co-op)
  • Proficient in using MS Office software with above average Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail with above average problem solving skills.
  • Know the basic fundamentals of MRP.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with reading Engineering Blueprints is considered an asset.
  • Able to work 15-20 hours per week, (we will be flexible around your school schedule)
