The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is currently accepting applications for one (1) full-time, permanent “Manager of Information Technology,”

Position Summary: 
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Information Technology, the Manager of Information Technology is responsible for the overall administration of all information technology and communication systems of the Municipality.

As a member of the Municipal team, each employee is responsible for serving the citizens of Strathroy-Caradoc by meeting the ratepayers’ needs and expectations, as articulated by Council, by striving to be the best in everything we do through attitude, training and creativity, and for representing the Municipality as a strong, integrated organization dedicated to quality, sustainable and viable services.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in either computer science with concentration in network administration, computer programming or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in design, administration, management and configuration of network and server infrastructure within a multi-domain setting.
  • Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in supervision, budgeting and administration.
  • Municipal IT experience is an asset.
  • Significant experience in Microsoft Exchange Server and Active Directory administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems, client/server software and hardware, virtual operating environments (VMware, Citrix Xen Server), and network infrastructure technologies.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in server administration and data recovery technologies.
  • Experience managing network and computer security.
  • Must be willing to work flexible and sometimes long hours.
  • Requirement to carry a cell phone to respond to after-hour issues.
  • Must have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, financial information systems, taxation and database software.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills
  • Must have a valid class “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence with a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
  • Provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to starting employment.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check prior to starting employment.

Compensation: 

Wage: Band 7 – $84,702.80 - $105,869.40
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package and participation in the OMERS pension plan
