Job Description
Our manufacturing client in Woodstock, ON is recruiting for a Program Manager. This organization is thriving with investment in plant technologies and a positive current and future outlook. We are seeking an experienced individual with well-rounded project management skills with an understanding of the changing requirements and complexities of the automotive industry. A summary of responsibilities is listed below:
Responsibilities:
- Principle leader of the APQP process for new projects.
- Creation and execution of time lines, ensure successful program launch of projects up to and including PPAP and internal buy-off.
- Responsible for financial profitability of projects (ie. Piece price, tooling, capital, safety of processes and people).
- Principle Liason with customer(s) during program launch.
- Customer engineering changes and technical feasibility.
- Process Improvement projects.
- Assists production in the recommendation of press automation.
- Assists in development and troubleshooting of die protection systems and sensoring program.
- Assists Production and Quality Dept. as required in technical challenges.
- Responsible for maintaining all engineering related quality records.
- CAD Manipulation for part, tooling, process, equipment and plant layout.
- Act as technical resource for transfer technology, servo feeders, PLC’s and Robotics (Programming, troubleshooting and training).
- Technical member of the Continuous Improvement teams.
- Assist in development of training programs for the production department.
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing Engineering degree or Technical diploma
- Process Engineering experience
- Self starter with project leader skills
- Previous metal manufacturing exposure a necessity
- Welding background/experience an asset
- Previous metal stampings experience an asset
- Computer literacy including CAD
