We are currently accepting applications for a Licensed Mechanic located at our Georgetown, Ontario location.
Position Overview:
As the Licensed Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance work to maintain equipment and facilities. Skills acquired through advanced training and licenses may be used in performing this work.
Principal Accountabilities:
45% Install / maintain / troubleshoot production equipment: pumps, tanks, motors, mixers, augers, hydraulics and pneumatics
25% Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
15% Document completed work, equipment findings, and parts information as required
15% Maintain personal tools and shop areas in a neat and clean condition

Required:
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship, an Ontario Certificate of Apprenticeship, and a Certificate of Qualification or equivalent is required
- Strong problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Must be able to work in an environment with varying temperatures, including working partially outdoors, indoors, and in dusty environments
- Ability to perform physical tasks that require climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling from heights in varying climate and environment conditions
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- 3 years industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Able to operate mobile lift equipment: Fork Lift / scissor Lift
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and understanding of OHSA, ESA, MOL and MOE safety regulations
- Knowledge of Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, Safety and Health systems; including current best practices with respect to industrial food manufacturing operations
