Due to increased growth and demand, Progressive Waste Solutions is currently recruiting a successful and established Business Development Manager to join their talented sales team. Job Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be a proven leads generator and have an innate ability to develop effective sales strategies to meet and/or exceed pre-set sales goals, while establishing long term customer relationships. 
The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for:
  • Developing value added client lists for prospective accounts in a specific geographic territory.
  • Cold calling clients in a pre-assigned geographic territory.
  • Presenting clients with Progressive Waste Solution’s exceptional, value added services,   solutions and pricing advantages. 
  • Entering client intelligence/data into Progressive Waste Solutions Salesforce system and monitoring/updating this data.
  • Identifying and developing favorable client contract terms to increase revenues.
Qualifications:
  • 4-5 years of proven experience in outside sales – with success in at least 2 years of contract sales experience (copiers, uniforms etc.)
  • University degree preferred.
  • Waste Industry experience preferred.
  • Highly motivated and committed sales professional – a history of exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional customer service experience and standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – working with city officials and businesses.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM system.
  • Strong numeracy skills to estimate pricing solutions and to calculate margins.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - computer literate. 
  • This position requires frequent driving – must have own vehicle (mileage reimbursed) and be able to pass a MVR check.
