Design Group Staffing seeks an Construction Outside Sales Representative located in the Greater Toronto area, for our client, a multi-national organization considered a leader in the manufacturing sector. This will start as a 6 month contract with an hourly rate of between
 $24-$29 (based on experience),+ 4% vacation pay and a bonus structure.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will focus on strategic development, sales and management of construction material products (Air and Vapour barrier membranes / HVAC jacketing) into the Ontario market. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·         Building a strategy to position construction products and technologies to end users and general contractors in the industrial, commercial and institutional sectors of construction

·         Ensuring execution and development of plans, specifications and critical relationships with contractors, general contractors, engineers and architects

·         Working in collaboration with a variety of sales teams and technical specialists to gain approvals for product inclusion on construction projects

·         Conduct on site customer visits and demonstrations with both new and existing end users

·         Manage sales volume with an existing group of customers, and prospect effectively to expand the existing customer base

The candidate for this role will have the demonstrated ability to influence and drive timely decisions and actions related to applicators choice of product on the job site as well as a proven track record of having the right attitude and aptitude for developing customer relationships from the job site to head office.

Basic Minimum Requirements:

·         A University degree is required for this position

·         Advanced knowledge (theoretical, process and hands on) of the commercial construction process and industry

·         Minimum of 4 years construction related sales or application experience with a proven track record in attaining/exceeding account management and sales goals

Other Qualifications:

·         Candidates must have strong self-motivation, time and territory management ability

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as there is a significant educational component to the role

·         The individual requires a strong customer focus and consultative skills with a proven ability to develop solutions that address customer needs

·         Proven experience in developing new business

·         A valid driver's license is required.  Candidates are required to travel which will involve overnight stays

 
Salary: 24-29$ hourly depending on experience
