We are looking for a junior procurement specialist to join our client, a leading insurance company, as a Procurement Buyer in their Waterloo office. In this role, you would be responsible for the day-today operational activities such as purchasing company standards and adhoc one-time orders as requested.

Accountabilities include:
• Ensuring internal policies and approvals are completed
• Providing pricing information/quotes on requested purchases
• Issuing purchase orders as requested
• Following up on orders, deliveries, order cancellations, invoice issue resolution
• Monitoring and maintaining commodity catalogs
• Monitoring and maintaining central voicemail and email mailboxes

• Work for a leading insurance company
• Waterloo location
• 4 month contract
• February 8th start date
• Starting at $21/hour (Can increase depending on experience)

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a procurement role
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong negotiations skills
• Strong MS Office
• Bilingual French an asset
• Experience with Oracle Procurement System R12 is a strong asset
