Position Responsibilities:

The Traffic Manager role is responsible for the network management and overall coordination for distributing (trafficking) creative content for a specific client/account of CDN.   This includes overseeing the setting up of new client locations, creating promotions and scheduling promotions for distribution, adding/removing products from locations, testing all content before it goes live and working with the Web and Interactive Services team.  The Traffic Manager is responsible for trouble shooting and resolving content related issues and for communicating with all internal CDN departments to ensure that the correct content is playing at the right locations/screens.  Finally, this role is responsible for acquiring business intelligence and client knowledge to deploy CDN proprietary software in the most efficient manner possible to meet client needs and to implement process improvements to save time, money and other resources.
  • Sets up new locations and schedules new creative content and distributes (traffics) content to client network.Traffics and verifies client playlists.
  • Validates, maintains and tests all new content before it is distributed to the network.Updates/removes content as required and monitors network to ensure the correct content is playing at the right locations/screens.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves content/network issues as they arise.Works with internal CDN departments such as Operations – Help Desk, Technology etc as required to resolve and communicate technical network problems.
  • Develops and builds relationship with client(s) and acquires business knowledge to enhance deployment EK3 proprietary software in the most efficient manner to meet the client’s needs.Looks for and implements process improvement opportunities to save time, money and other resources.
Education and Experience:
  • University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 5 years’ demonstrated aptitude with trafficking software and digital content distribution
  • 5 years’ experience working in a detail orientated/deadline driven environment.
  • People leadership experience managing a small team
  • Previous experience in a client facing/account management role
  • Previous experience in digital media and/or advertising agency an asset
