Temporary Full-time Web Editor
The Grand Erie District School Board’s 2,800 employees provide quality education to approximately 26,000 full-time equivalent students who attend our 72 schools. The Board spans a geographic area encompassing the City of Brantford and the Counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk. The head office is located in Brantford. The Board is currently seeking a Web Editor to join our team on a three-month contract.

Grand Erie is working towards transitioning its website to a new platform. To help facilitate this transition, we are hiring a Web Editor on a three-month contract to review, revise and organize existing web content. Reporting to the Manager, Communication and Community Relations, the Web Editor is a digitally savvy writer, skilled in crafting web-ready content. Technical writing and editing experience will help you organize and edit existing content to be fit for purpose. Your inter-personal and communications skills will support connecting with subject matter experts and content owners to collaborate on developing and honing content to support an informative, relevant, and engaging website. You will work remotely through the length of this contract.

Responsibilities: Attributes: Qualifications and Experience:
  • Three years minimum recent writing experience preferably in a public sector organization
  • Experience developing content for websites

Job Specifications
Hours of Work 7 hours per day/35 hours per week (Temporary full-time 3-month position)
Rate of Pay $35.89/hour
