TEMPORARY - FIRST NATIONS, MÉTIS, and INUIT (FNMI) COUNSELLOR

POSITION TITLE: First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) Counsellor (ending June 2022)
SALARY RANGE: $36.53 - $42.96 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
DATE OF VACANCY As soon as possible

POSITION SUMMARY: The First Nations, Métis and Inuit Counsellor provides school-based prevention and intervention services to address the social and emotional barriers to learning for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students in elementary, secondary and alternative school settings.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of a two-year Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Counselling, Social Service Work or Child Studies and a minimum of one (1) year experience in a school Board or community agency providing counselling services to children and families.

This position is itinerant in nature and travel to different sites during the course of the work week is required.

The recruitment process requires a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons.
