If so, our client has an exciting opportunity for you. Our valued client is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team.
Our client is a leader in providing high quality process automation services to manufacturing customers in Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), specializing in food and beverage, alternative fuels, cement, and plastics. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of projects, utilizing the resources of the organization, including Project Coordinators, and other highly trained staff
Project Management
o Act as the main liaison between the customer and company for all divisions and services
o Design/scope/quote projects of various sizes/complexities
o Plan/organize materials and manpower for assigned projects
o Regularly monitor the project costs to date to ensure that revenue and profitability goals for assigned projects are met.
o Monitor projects for quality of work, timeliness of completion, and customer satisfaction. Balance these goals with project costs.
o Try to identify new and innovative ways to improve job cost and quality
o Ensure compliance with all aspects of the company’s health and safety procedures.
• Sales & Marketing
o Be the company’s technical lead with respect to business development in the GTA market.
o Support GTA Sales Staff both technically and with customer meetings to generate new customers and new business.
Desired Skills & Experience
• College Diploma or construction related training
• Certified electrician (309 or 442)
• 5 – 10 years electrical experience at manager/coordinator level
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Experience supporting sales and marketing functions
• Experience with a process automation contractor
• Excellent time management skills
• Detail-oriented
• Financial acumen
