Note:  This is a full-time temporary Administrative position (37.5 hours per week) starting July 1, 2022 and ending August 30, 2024.


Duties:  The Senior Manager, Financial Services, provides leadership and comprehensive financial technical expertise to the managing of the financial operations of the College. Accountable for College-wide financial management that includes financial analysis and reporting. The Senior Manager, Financial Services, is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of College financial services that include the financial statements, technical and financial review and signing of all College revenue contracts, general ledger, cash management, cash receipts, accounts receivable, banking processes, investments, Payment Card Industry compliance, insurance requirements and asset disposal. The position involves monitoring various funded programs, the accounting of payroll costs, the College’s operating and capital budgets, and cash flows.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Business or Finance and Administration
  • Professional Accounting designation (CPA) required
  • Minimum 7 years’ recent and relevant experience
  • Strong managerial skills
  • Excellent understanding of computer databases and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent accounting knowledge
  • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong knowledge of contract language and legal terms
  • Good project planning and management skills
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
