Millwright Foreman

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to discuss job scope, requirements and timelines
  • Ensure everyone works in a safe manner & adheres to all TMG and customer specific safety policies & procedures
  • Ensure crew stays on task and works efficiently
  • Prepare for daily tasks related to scope of work including:
    • Verify materials, equipment and resources are adequate, communicate with Project Managers/Project Coordinators on any deficiencies
    • Provide status updates to Project Management with any adverse impacts (quality, cost, time) to project timelines and deliverables
  • Communicate directly with Project Management to liaise customer requests and scope changes
  • Work with customer to ensure site work meets customer expectations, and company quality standards
  • Train Apprentices and Journey Persons in required tasks
  • Complete all safety documentation (e.g. equipment reviews, etc.), and Job Hazard Inspection Checklists daily
  • Lead installations and commissioning, as well as dismantling/decommissioning of machinery and equipment according to layout drawings, blueprints and other drawings
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on existing installations and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment breakdowns
  • Fabricate items as needed
  • Provide customer support for After-Hours calls
  • Support overtime and weekend work to meet project deadlines
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant industry work experience
  • Licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright
  • Experience leading a crew
  • First Aid training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment
  • Familiar with basic hand and power tools
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • CWB Tickets in GTAW required, with SMAW tickets an asset
  • Experience in heavy rigging & craning
  • The capability to and be comfortable with working at heights
  • The ability to lift up to 35 kilograms
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work weekends, overtime and travel out of province as required – valid passport required

Salary Range For The Role:

$47.50 to $49.00 per hour
